Oooh, interesting....

Wish I could say there were no contenders but....

Well, being stumped runningdown the wicket at Windsor was embarrassing - not so much for being stumped itself, which is so unusual for Brigadeer Block here that I kinda wore it like a badge of honour, as for the fact that I got three steps down, my knee locked up and I couldn't even have a hack at it!

More embarassing still was a Sunday game at Cookham where I made a fairly solid 80-odd, only for them to bring their keeper one with two needed.  At which point I smashed it straight at their skipper at extra and had to walk off to hoots of laughter...

My worst was, I was opening batting for school against a local rival school and we were chasing 120 odd and I had seen off their 3 notable bowlers who had took 3 wickets between them until they brought on a guy who had never played before he slung his arm over like a shoddy malinga, I went to square cut him and played on. I got mugged off by their team and by my team and we lost the game.

After hitting 2 huge sixes for Dorset I took a horrid, wild cross bat slash at a slower ball outside of stump. Took the edge and looped to point. I was so angry at myself >:(

3rd ball play no shot,

clean bowled looked like a tool!!

Facing a decent paced in-swing bowler, he had no fine leg in so I walked to outside off stick in an attempt to flick it down there.

I missed, he didn't.  He took all three stumps out of the ground (it was a tad wet), there was nothing left to look at.

Watched a guy get out bowled to a bouncer yesterday....it was so slow it took the top of off stump, on the way down. He nearly put his back out trying to slog it!
Did this a couple of times this season. Slow pitch, no bounce, so pile it in short and watch the ball turn into a horribly slow bouncer that the batsman simply plays over the top of as it hits the stumps or his legs. Either way a wicket...

I did the exact same thing a couple of months. I was on 45...

I have far to many from last season, that picking one is like finding a needle in a haystack.  Unfortunately my good shots were so far and few between that I sometimes think I am dreaming that I ever played them!

Holed out to deep cover off a wide, juicy full toss from a part-time leg spinner.  Pretty horrific!  :-[

Does your shot have to connect with the ball? :-[ I tried to sweep a yorker off the opposition opening bowler, which was pretty stupid. We were in the final few overs and I had batted for quite a while though, so I thought why not try get many runs. 8)

In terms of shots which did connect, it's a toss up between cutting a wide and short ball from a spinner only to get caught behind, or cutting a pace bowler, only for the guy at gully to take a spectacular diving catch to his right. :( To be honest though, looking back in previous years, these aren't so bad. I think that's more to do with the lack of cricket more than improvement though... :-[

Guy went round the wicket to me, ball well outside off stump, left it, swung back in like a boomerang and clipped off stump  :(
Walked off to chirps of "good leave mate" from the idiot oppo keeper  >:(
