Which Gloves????
« on: December 28, 2012, 04:46:34 PM »

Hi All,

After a little trip to owzat today i'm left scratching at my head at which pair of gloves to purchase, as after trying on about 20 pairs i'm left slightly annoyed i still haven't found the right pair,
Salix were nice looking but i didn't get the thumb movement i wanted as i could always feel the cup on my thumb so no good.
Newbury same as Salix nice feel but to rigid for me,
Gunn's not bad perhaps the nicest there in the legend but couldn't quite justify the price.
SF's in blue felt really flexible but the thumb was driving me mad as its too cushioned at the top.
Kookaburra's tried the new Menace and hated it, just plain not liked at all.
Puma's Pro gloves perhaps the best of the lot felt really comfy and not to bad on the thumb nice looking too
Slaz again not liked at all tried the Ultimate and xlite and just way to rigid for me
Gray's tried on the Oblivion test and like the Puma's felt nice to wear but the thumb casing would do my head after a while.

does anyone know of any gloves were the thumb casing is not as provident as with these gloves, also i'm a right handed batsmen

Have u tried on our elite gloves? Flexibility is one of the benefits in the design from the outset :)

Hey mate look on eBay there is a store selling puma calibre 5000 men's gloves for £25 posted. They're brand new, best bargain pair of gloves I've ever bought :)

You just sound far too fussy  :D  you seem to have covered most styles there in your array of try-ons

I bet the staff were thrilled when you tried on 20 pairs of gloves and then walked out without buying any!

As a sausage glove I have found the SS camo to be the most comfy, I think the Newbery SPS and a few other brands have exactly the same design though bar the cosmetics

I have a pair of Ayrtek Elite gloves and they are very flexible and supple. Can't fault them comfort wise.

While the SAF offer is on with 40% off its not a bad bet to buy them. I own a pair, they are pretty supple good protection. But I have also heard great things about Ayrtek gloves!

To be honest we all should realise you get great products at great prices when we buy from our forum sponsors, they need all the help we can give them, and they do genuinly have top products

Yes, the three split thumb on the Ayrtek Elites should make them a good option for you:

Another glove that I really like (that you don't seem to have tried on today) are the Willostix Stick:

But I have a feeling you'll prefer the Ayrteks.  Please PM if either are of interest because we have both gloves in stock at the moment...

A lot of love for the Ayrtek Elites which I can back up.

What about BlankBats gloves? My split ones are very, very nice. I'm very fussy about gloves too.

Ayrtek elites are very comfy, I have some for sale but I'm only selling as I won more gloves in the recent rematch competition.

The newbery sps 2 gloves I recently bought off rematch also feel very nice, possibly the best gloves I've used recently were some kook blade 950's

I reckon Wilkie should be the forum glove man. I should think you have used most brand and we should come to you for your knowledge!
