B&S Fireblades now in stock
« on: December 28, 2012, 05:07:54 PM »

We took delivery of 2 beautiful B&S Fireblades on Christmas Eve, with more coming in the new year.

I'm a big fan of the snazzy graphics, the camera doesn't do them justice, they really shimmer! I'm a  big fan of the price too. £180.

The grainier one weighs in at 2'10, the other one weighs 2'8.5

If anyone is interested in getting hold of one, please give me a shout :)

Jake

Yes B&S seem to apply Fibreglass tape to all their bats before shipping them to us. They also apply a scuff sheet to the Supremes.

Bit of extra protection i suppose!

I dont know of anyone else that does it if i'm honest, i had never seen it until our 2012 B&S order arrived. I have started offering it as an option when people ask for bats to be knocked in, so yeah it saves me a job when i knock a B&S in!

Lovely bats mate, I was looking at B&S on your website the other day and these look amazing especially the grainier. TBH the tape on the toe is not for me though just looks odd IMO

Bats look good, stickers look good, price is good. Toe tape makes them look poor. Should be done on request, it makes me think they have an issue with toes cracking.

I got to use some Bellingham and smith bats earlier in the year and the bats in question were of exceptional quality and the pressing superb considering they had not been knocked in and the response of the mallet very good indeed. It will be good to see them in the flesh and I have heard good things about their softs and their prices of the softs too!!!!

They look really good Jake! Shame about the fibreglass tape at the toe, I don't really like fibreglass tape like that. :-[ Much prefer to protect the whole bat with a helicopter antiscuff! I remember a friend of mine went on a tour of South Africa with a Scotland Youth squad and got his woodworm Hard Drive replicated by B&S. He really rated them highly from what I remember! 8)

I can always remove it and clean up the face if removing leaves a mark/damages the wood fibres.

I've owned numerous b&s bats over the past ten years or so. Including one that lasted me 4 long, hard seasons before finally giving up the ghost. I've never seen or heard of one going in the toe.
