The bat prices have risen a bit ridiculously over the years..... think last year you could get a GM 909 for £150 now theyre £200 :o

Five years ago I picked up a GN Pro Performance for £209...now their top of the range bats are over £350...

Retail will only get more competitive over the next few years, I'd expect to see margins get smaller unless there is price fixing as people compete for business.

You have to take into account that the manufacturing processes aren't getting any cheaper though, not to mention the price of materials! I think that the price of tennis balls rose by about 10p per ball for our local sports specialist, that's trade price, as rubber is increasing in price. Cane is also running out and willow costs are also rising! I know it isn't quite so drastic to charge £50 more, but I guess people do have to make a living! You also have to take into account that many bats may not be sold!

Anyways, I think what Asad is doing can only be a good thing, both to the customer and himself. It means that the customer can buy more for their money, and Asad will get more business. 8)

I loved my GN Phoenix Pro Performance! Only had 6 grains, but it flew! There was something wrong with the handle, and I just gave it away to my sports shop, telling the manager that he could use the wood as repairs for chipped bats etc. I am kind of regretting it now, that I know that I could have gotten it rehandled, but he did tell me I could have done it for £40. Stupid me though thought it wouldn't be worth much. Scored my first six with it too! :(

Mine has ten - all ruler straight - and the handle was fine, though slightly more flexible than most bats I've used.  Very nice piece of willow all round!

Originally we were thinking of offering 5% but then decided to offer more to our loyal customers. In my view 10% back off what you spend is very generous. Basically you can get a free bat/pads/gloves etc  with your points. The profit margin is already very small due to internet but I think we have edge on many due to quality of our cricket bats (all hand picked) as well as good customer service.

Any one else have any other good idea plz let me know

Regards

So can I assume this

If I buy a bat say at 190 pound I can expect 19 pound off my bat then the bat is down to 170?

Sorry not the sharpest tool ...

Is this how it works or are the rewards have to be spent within the shop.

Asad does that count for people who bought just before Christmas? I bought the Maverick 4 star from you so can I claim my points now or have I missed out on them?

Thanks
Chris

Sorry Chris, the functionality wasn't implemented then but any new purchase the points are automatically added. I may be able to add some bonus reward points on your next purchase.
