Many thanks for sharing this, I appreciate it.

What a wonderful bat it is, brilliantly used. Made full use of it.

Shame there is no profile picture as I'm sure many would love to see one..

Wonder if repressing the middle had any effect..

Just to point out the middle hasn't been repressed it was simply clamped there overnight for the glue to dry in the cracks.

I also wonder why more and more pros are tending to use the fibreglass scuff sheets instead of helicopter scuff sheet. Anyone have any ideas?

Clarke has used the bat in both Tests against Sri Lanka, you can see the crack lines in the photos. Here's one from the Hobart Test:

Must be a sensational piece of willow.

I wish I could get my hands on that Spartan bat, even for just a few air swings, looks like a lovely piece of willow. Watson's GM bats look nice too.

Not sure on the fibreglass v helicopter scuff, all I know if the fibreglass stuff is extremely difficult to remove, judging by Clarke's bat that looks to be the case...

Fibreglass sheet I think is a little bit lighter and thinner than standard scuff sheets.

It's definitely stronger - loads more reinforcement given by all the glass fibers there. A lot of us probably don't like it because it hides the grains

Clarkes bat looks lovely, that toe is so square.

How consistent are the top players all the wear in a small area
