My problem with the Willosticks slugger is just it just didnt seem to feel right in the hands! No ideas why!
Its actually Fattus's fault that I love shoulderless bats. He sold me one years ago he sells so many bats Im sure he wont rememeber but it is all his fault!

Paul, how come you don't take the bats home the same day? Lack of car?

Yes exactly!

The Tour has just been sold, and one of the Mjolnir 5 Stars incidentally...

I will be backing up the fact that the Willostix slugger is a great bat, as my one weighs in at 2.12 which is the lightest that it comes I believe or I think that was the lightest slugger the Andy's had at the barn when I went last. it is absolutly massive as well but really well balanced, aspecialy because it has all the wood from the shoulder put into the middle; But even so it still picks up so, so well almost like a 2.9/2.10 and with the ball on the end of the handle they do feel great when using.

If u couldn't tell I'm a big fan

I think certain bats, such as the Uzi, have lost some of their appeal, but overall as a brand, I think they are still very strong.  We sold more Newbery SH bats last year than any other brand! Even more than Gray-Nicolls, Kookaburra etc.

Nice to see another Willostix fan on this forum!  :) Well, there are a few others, but still love hearing feedback like this.  Yes, 2.12 for a Slugger is the lightest they come in, and I agree, they do pick up a couple of ounces lighter than they actually are...

No doubting the quality of their bats and I'm sure this is still the case but I think they should stick to what the are good at and renowned for

The graffiti bag is part of a half-hearted attempt to break into the youth market. In my opinion kids want what they see their heros using and unless Newbery get a big name player on board and using their kit their recent attempts to become more 'popular' only cheapen the brand and will.never see them competing in that market against Adidas, GN and the other big guns

These Newbery bats all arrived today.  Haven't had chance to put them all up on our website yet - or even properly add them to our shelves yet, but did at least manage to do a video review of the Tour, so look out for that later tonight, especially you, Chad!  :)

To me the tour has the best profile of any bat out at the minute
