Best protecting bat cover??

Hey guys
I was just curious to hear peoples thoughts on what type and/or brand of bat cover offers the most protection for a bat whilst in a kit bag.
My bag is so hazardous for a bat, due to the amount of stuff in there, that I thought I should see if one type offers a greater amount of protection as opposed to others.

I don't tend to use them.  If my bat gets a dint, I'll get a reason to but a new bat   :D

I have, in the past, had padded protection for bats from Bradbury and Adidas. Both worked well, with the adidas having a full length strap so you could carry it seperately also.

If you want a cover, I'd have a word with fellow member wilkie, he's recently been making some of these which may be better than most shop bought ones.

The Sleeve offered by SafBats would be a good place to start. Neoprene and pretty durable, something I think a majority of the people that have bought them would testify to.

I rate the willostix ones - plenty of padding - Paul at IJC does them.

i know buzz rates the GM ones very highly and have seeing his, they do look very well made and offer good padding

Hammer! Don't have any in stock yet, but I've seen one and it looked incredibly well padded!  :)

I have a full length GM cover and its very good, one of the ones that has a shoulder strap in case you want to carry it separately.

I got it last year from worldcricketstore, just checked and they're £6.65 including delivery on there.

I probably am! They all feel the same to me!
To be totally honest I think people should whereever possible buy from their local cricket stores, otherwise in a few years time they might not be there when you want those emergency pads on match day!

I use the Aero bag and find the bat cave to look after the bats well

most of the bat covers do a decent job, as mentioned above, I am a big fan of the GM ones (I use the half covers - about £5/£6 in most stores)

I do have a very fine wilkie made fleecy bat cover now though... mmmm lovely
