Dukes X Grade Cricket Balls
« on: January 07, 2013, 01:45:04 PM »

Hi Guys,

I was looking to buy good quality Cricket Balls for our Sunday friendlies. I came across Dukes Grade X Ambassador A and Price A balls on Morrant :

http://www.morrant.com/cricket_equipment/cricket_balls/4736_0c.html

They seem to be reasonably priced and are on Sale. Has anyone on the forum used Grade X  balls before ? Being Dukes I am sure they are good but just wanted feedback from someone who has used them.

Thanks.

My old sunday village side used to use them and they did the job fine, not bat breakers just good balls with small imperfections.

Thanks Kulli,
Did they retain their shapes for 40-50 over ?

Yeah, to be honest i couldn't tell the difference between most of them and their top level balls without being told.

Totally missed these ones ! Looks like a good buy though. Would have helped if it mentioned the manufacturers as well !

I deeply adore these ones:-

Always tempted to buy few for myself, to use them in nets (if they allow me to use red balls) but can't justify the price :(

Wish I could justify buying these for friendlies  :(

Have always bought the dukes x grade balls for nets from morrant. £3.50 a ball you can't go wrong and I've found them to be better than both the lords and readers balls we use in league cricket.
