Possible to get these awesome helmets in Oz?
« on: January 08, 2013, 06:23:26 AM »

Hey Tom,

I was wondering whether it is possible to buy Ayrtek stuff in Oz in a physical shop. I like trying stuff on before buying it, for obvious reasons.

We have a man on the ground who is going around the retailers shortly so hoping to have a distribution network established within the next few months.

Next few months? gah, need a helmet by the 14th. Sorry Tom, but it's Masuri this time. By the time I need a new helmet (I've used my current one since '07), I'm sure you guys will have a network set up over in the land of plenty.

Oh, by the way, if I can help, some of the good retailers to sell stuff at are:

- Greg Chappell Cricket Centre
- Rebel Sport
- Kingsgrove Sports
- Knight Sport
- Indoor sports centres
- Spartan sports

Rebel Sport? Only if you want to pay twice as much as it's worth!

It's good for business, though. Which is why I suggested it.

Yeah, I was keen on an ayrtek, they seem very very good.
However with the postage costs it just wasn't feasible unfortunately.

But as as mentioned earlier, hopefully by the time I need a new helmet ayrtek will have a decent set up here in Melbourne.

We have some heading down to Oz early next week as it happens, our man on the ground is doing the rounds currently to raise interest from the retailers so should be shipping some more out shortly

Anyone in the Sydney/hunter region wants to try one I'd be happy to lend mine out in some nets. Hasn't gotten much use as I'm not a big helmet wearer!

Sorry for the bump, but is there any update on the situation in Oz? Do you have a list of any confirmed retailers?
