We fly out to Alicante tomorrow on our pre season tour.
We are going to Benidorm which isn't the nicest place at all, we are staying way out of the resort, and hopefully the cricket will be as good as it was last year when we chased down 270 and narrowly lost on the Sunday game.

The cricket club we are playing is Sporting Alfas, and they are great hosts, flights to Spain are fairly cheap, and our hotel is very cheap as it is out of season.

I've heard Holland is supposed to be a good place to tour. Want to try and organise one this year, but I think for our first trip we might stay in England...

I can thoroughly recommend Amsterdam, toured there twice now. Once with Uni as part of a 2 week European tour and once a couple of years back with my club. We stayed in town and played 3 localish clubs Kampong, VRA (unfortunatly on on the main international pitch) and Ajax. Cricket was good, grounds are great and the hospitality was fantastic. Plus once you've eventually left the host clubs you have the delights of Amsterdam to explore!

We leave for Amsterdam on Friday in a mini bus :o. We are suppose to play two games out there but the way people are talking we might stuggle finding half our team. We are having a eveing meal with one of the teams we are playing against which should be good.
Oh and check out the hotel we are staying in http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2232828/Worlds-worst-hotel-warns-visitors-sue-Hans-Brinker-Amsterdam-boasts-filthy-rooms.html

It was Newcastle, then Blackpool and now the company have folded so not sure where we are going. Got a meeting next week to decide.

Stick to Newcastle. Great games of cricket, lovely grounds (incredible decks in all 3 of our games) combined with terrific hosts who were (mostly) up for the challenge of draining Newcastle supply of booze with us.

Nights out are a cracking too, though I can mainly only recall that thanks to pictures....

On the other hand, Blackpool is home to Europes largest rotating dance floor.
