Blackcat Shadow
« on: January 09, 2013, 11:15:38 PM »

Do any of you guys have a Shadow or know anyone who has one? - I've searched the forum but out of the thousands of post there are very few that talk about this bat and I was wondering if it's good and how it performs long term? I'm usually not fearful of having a punt but it is top end cash (for me) I'd be splashing out....

The couple that I have seen have been very good and gone like rockets. I picked up a shadow and had a little hit in the net before a game last year and was very very good.

Problem is you can't visit them to have your bat made and for the kind of money they cost for me that is quite important. But if not i have heard very good things about them, but your right they are top $

How was the pick-up in comparison to the actual weight? I get on with 2.8-2.9 kahunas and mongoose torq's but tried a 2.7 ricochet and it was way too light..

I sold the newer one to Jason, still have the older one and it is remarkable. Brilliant rebound!

I don't know what the weight was as it was an oppo players stick. Felt very nice and balanced in the hands and went like a rocket. But for the £350 odd it said it cost him you would hope so. Very nice slight oval handle as well on the shadow I used that day felt very nice in the hands.

Picked up a used long blade one off eBay. It was nice enough but tthe middle position was too high for me so sold it to someone else on here.

The Hosk has one I've used a couple of times. Really nice! Pickup and balance won't be an issue with this maker  ;)
