Bat Wishlist
« on: January 11, 2013, 10:22:32 AM »

I just thinking about the bats that I can't afford/can't justify buying after buying 2 new bats last season, and wondered if anyone had made up a list of bats they are just waiting for an excuse to buy (such as ridiculous deal/bat breaking in a fit of rage after being given out lbw on a Sunday).

My current list is as follows:

1. Black Cat Custom (either M&H Distinction or L&W Reserve Ultra shape)
2. Vantage Lithium
3. Black Cat Joker (currently have a Jester as I wanted to test out the shape)
4. SAF Mechten
5. GN Dynadrive

For me:
1. Distinction/ Tempo shaped bat.
2. Laver and wood, though one is on the way from a swap deal!
3. Scat

One of my mates has a scat, few years old now. Might refurb it... Seeing that he isn't about next year I might just keep it in my bag!

I forgot about H4L - Tempo definitely on the list.

I'm not too sure about Scats, they all look like the same shape to me and seem a bit too expensive. May well be wrong as I've never actually used one but just my impression.

Already a few of the same bats being listed.
It'll be quite interesting to see which bat is listed the most once this thread has run its course..

Salix Torque - Have it
Slazenger V12 LE - have it, but handle is a bit thin for me. Amazing pick-up and ping on the bat (hence the impulse purchase)
Black Cat - Have it
CA 15000 LE - still finding a reliable source to get this one
GN E41 - want it, but not seen a single one that catches my fancy
Salix LE - apparently being made and supplied to Barrington Sports only and limited to 30 bats. Seen these yesterday and the the bats are huge, lovely grains and great ping on each one of them. Barringtons has offer me these for a reduced price, but still quite pricey. Usual price is £440.
