Any ideas on how to repair?
« on: January 13, 2013, 05:03:29 PM »

Hi,

I have noticed a crack at the shoulder of my Fusion bat. It extends up from the shoulder into the handle, however I am not sure if and how much as I dont want to start undoing the string at the base of the handle as not sure how to get it back on properly. It seems to extend downwards as a hairline crack which is barely visible. It has been like this for the latter part of last season and didnt affect performance.

Just wanted to check with those with more knowledge:
* Do I need to repair or get this repaired? Is it likely to extend?
* If needs repairing, it there anything I can try myself or does it need sending off to a bat repairer.

A pic is below.

Thank you, would be grateful for any tips

handle has gone. Needs a re-handle and gluing. It may feel ok but either binding isn't tight enough or the handle join isn't. Eventually it will just keep cracking down the bat and break.

County fixed a Insignia with the same problem and it felt great afterwards.

Thanks for the info guys.

Anyone good that you guys would recommend for a good refurb and at a good price?

Do you know what then happens re. stickers as I imagine the stickers will either be damaged or removed during the refurb.

Its possible to remove them and replace them if they are in decent shape. Hunts always do a very good job in that respect.

I guess it depends on where you are, i'm sure one of the forum sponsors will be local to you.
