I'm absolutely knackered so I don't have the energy for a long winded review, which I will come back with when I've had a chance to use it but I couldn't wait to post a few pictures up of this. It goes without saying the service from Asad was top notch and an excellent cup of tea was provided! I spent a couple of hours going over various BAS's and looking at the general new stock which was impressive. In the end this was whipped out along with a few other special ones and suddenly the choices became a lot narrower...as were the grains...

Sorry about the photo quality I only have an iphone at the moment and I don't have the arty eye some of the members seem to! But hopefully you'll get the general idea

There is a lot of wood! It dwarfed the other bats. It's bang on 2.15 with 1 & 1/2 grips, so quite a beast. pick up does not feel like a nearly 3lb bat it must be said although I'm gonna have to start pumping those weights all the same...

I was told by BAS that these bats are from the batch of bats they made for few Indian players hence no stamp and different shape to normal BAS range. All the light ones have gone to professional players in UK.

Love the look and profile,  bit heavy though for me. The ball will fly off that.

I got one from asad and it really flies! make sure u knock it in properly with those tight grains cracking can happen

Thanks for the tip, yes i will make sure I prepare it properly, I have been known to be over eager taking a new bat to nets before...Did you buy one of these BAS plain players bats then? What weight is yours?

just wanted to say thanks Asad for being so welcoming and helpful as usual, I've been knocking this bat in and just tapping the ball up on it a bit and I don't think I've ever used anything quite like it before, only my H4L produces a similar sound and feel, the responsiveness of the willow is ridiculous. something tells me this is going to be a special bat...and please don't forget if that 'item' you have becomes available I am definitely interested!  Did that guy come back with his son today to replace that shocking plank??? He'll be in dreamland once he gets his new stick, lucky lad!
