Right,

So around the christmas/new years time I was needing new pads and gloves (genuinely needed cricket gear for once, they were falling apart!). So this led to a typical mid season splurge which included this beast from the BB lads. I held off as long as I could, and with no takers I decided that it would look as good in my house as anyone elses. So a bit more than a week after being posted it arrived on my doorstep in OZ.

Weighing in at approximately 2'10 (just to avoid the confusion thats 2lbs 10 ounces) it has a great pickup. Comparing it to my other lam (which is a genuine GT shape) it weighs in the same and probably picks up a touch heavier - no dramas though as you will see from the pics, it is a big piece of willow for its weight especially comparing it to my other Lam. The rebound is exquisite as you would expect from a Laminate. Love this profile too and I think it could be a real winner - No concaving whatsoever and a massive sweet spot.

Anyway I will let the pictures do the talking. Have given it one light coat of oil, will work the edges and toe for a few hours and then chuck some fibre tape on the edges....thats pretty much all I do to prepare my bats. Enjoy

Too many :S Im up to 10....but two of those are bats I wont be using (laver and slazenger DON). Two SCATS going back to Julian for refurbs (will prob keep one), 2 RPC's, my Laver match bat, Joker....

Will be offloading a few in the coming weeks, cutting the collection down to 3. This one wont be goign however

Forgot to say thanks to the BB boys too, always easy to talk to and quick postage, quality bat!

That Lam looks stunning, great profile. Hope you score loads of runs with this monster. I have also ordered 2 special laminate bats with Mike, current status? no update from Mike. Expectations are very high as i am promised by bb that these will be stunners, fingers crossed. Can't wait anymore.
