All companies are limited to what you can and can't do with handles (law 6).  However, what I will say is that we have always worked under the premis that too much stiffness in the handle leads to problems at the main stress point of the handle (bottom hand).  Newtons law of physics states "energy will run in a straight line" unless you put an obstacle in its path.  Wavex works on this theory - each wave is a flex point and slows down (dampens) the energy running up the handle and re-drirects a proportion of this energy to the impact point (see our website for the independant testing results).  It's a widely known fact that with a conventional handle the bat is at its best when one of the laminate canes has broken - this creates 'whip' in the handle (otherwise known as more flex) - this is what Wavex is designed to mimic.

Really interesting! I've seen a brief discussion on here recently that flat faced bats seem to create more natural flex in the handle than the more traditional 'rounded' faces when striking the ball. I have noticed that my CF which has a flat face feels very 'whippy' in comparison to my other bats. Is this, therefore, the reason people have adopted this design or is it purely to maximise the 'look' of the edges! Do your bats use a flat face?

As an aside, a mate of mine who is a great batmaker recently took back a blade I had that just felt far too hard when striking a ball. His fix? put it on the floor of the workshop with the end of the handle resting on another bat laying down next to it then stamping on it to break the laminate, just as you say. It transformed it!

To recap its 100 for 15 years after that we can opt to have 10 fully made bats for no extra cost? Also is there anything about the grade of bat were gonna get is it g1 or what?

Delighted to see another great bat maker join.

My first memory of Kippax was my great Uncle who played for Wombwell Main CC, Barnsley. In fact, he still coaches there into his 70's.
He had a traditional bat, very light. "Touch player" he'd tell me.

My second was an RSM in the Army. We played in the same team for a couple of years. Top player. When batting together he'd come down and say "dig in Eddie!", next ball he'd deposit their opening quick into the next county.
It was a monster blade and I'll never forget it.

If you stick it next to last year's SAF branding ir the Affinity branding, both which i rate as some of the best, it clearly isn't! Kippax have an excellent reputation amongst those who know. Just wish they looked as good.
