MRF Pace Foundation
« on: January 21, 2013, 11:33:13 AM »

I was doing some research on Pace Bowling Coaches and came across this, Does anyone have any connections with it ? I know I t is based in India but Overseas players like glenn mcgrath, brett lee etc have been part of this academy and it is something I am potentially interested in trialling for so If anyone knows the procedure for overseas players to enrol please contact me via pm or comment below
Thanks

Im not sure on this but would imagine this is only for first class professional players? not sure if its available to anyone.

I guess the best thing to do would be to contact your local CDO and find out if there are any specialist courses/coaches in your area. I know when i was younger i attended a bowling course with a queensland opening bowler who was over here for some time. wasnt overly specialist but some decent pointers.

Yeah I did the research and in India its open to people who go to the trials, for overseas they didnt really give info but the rough gist I got is that they do overseas trials as well, and thanks I will see but I was wondering what you meant by CDO im assuming the c stands for coach but i didnt understand what you meant sorry :(

there are quite a few different academies now In India, some based at test grounds, others just smaller private operations!  I have been many many times to different academies across India with young players - definitely a worthwhile experience for aspiring cricketers!
