Hades bat review
« on: January 23, 2013, 02:31:19 PM »

I wanted to share these images of my new Hades with you all.

Spec
Hades Limited Edition / 2lb 8.5oz / Mid to low middle / Oval handle / Short Handle

Pickup
Just beautiful! As you would expect for a bat of this weight, made by Andy.

Profile
Nice offset middle, with a good amount of willow in just the right places.

Grains
8 straight-ish ones in the playing area.

Ping
Off the mallet it sounds really great. Super good in fact and when knocking up (with a ball) the rebound would put a smile on most people's faces.

Looking forward to giving it a go in the nets. Where I'll get a much better idea of the bats performance and feel.

After I've received a few comments (from you guys), I might tell you a little story about the bat's history so far :)

Very nice profile that is. Side on it looks very traditional. Something I like!

That's a great looking bat and the profile grows on me every time I see it. That last pic illustrates the curves on that thing beautifully. I'm really keen on a Hades or an Infinity... Can't wait to hear how it goes in the nets!

Camera skills - All down to a new Canon 5D MKII and 50mm f1.4 lens. Got to love a bit of shallow depth of field :) that and a degree in photography

The grip came with the bat, but it's very nice.
