Mohammad Yousuf?

I agree about Ross Taylor, I'd also put Ian Bell.

However Arjun Tendulkar might be underrated because of his father

watch out also for Tangerine (SIC) Chanderpaul http://www.espncricinfo.com/westindies/content/current/story/601969.html

I think Robin Smith was vastly underrated by the England selectors...

.............Don't get me started on Ian Bell!!  :D :D :D

Shiv is a very good shout too

Kallis is unfortunate because he goes about his business in such an undemonstrative way. He's not box office like Flintoff and Botham although his sats would suggest a far superior player.

Azhar Ali , Faf Du Plessis , Kane Williamson, Dean Brownlie, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Rangana Herath, Marlon Samuels ?

Then again you cant be to underated if your playing international cricket.

Du Plessis and Samuels are the two most improved cricketers I have seen in a long time.

I always reckoned Paul Collingwood was very underrated - a real scrapper.

My thoughts exactly.

Misbah Ul-Haq has done a great job as skipper of Pakistan, has led them through some troubled times and has not let anyone down with the bat.

Also Alviro Peterson - you hear people describing the South African batting line up and it's all Smith, Kallis, Amla and ABDV. Before Alviro was there the 2nd openers role was a hole that needed filling, him and Philander have completed that side

Agree re; Ian Bell - similar style of player to VVS, who is worshipped as one of the modern greats - Bell has better stats.   I feel Gower suffered the same perception.

Got to be Kallis; he is talked about as one of the best modern day players, but not mentioned anywhere near enough as an all-time great.

Also think Shiv is a good shout, as is Umar Gul.

Fans? Lol! They absolutely detest Misbah Ul Haq, obviously not all but majority do!

I concur your sentiments, he is exactly like the type of captain we need. He has impressive stats as a captain, he has brought numerous laurels to Pakistan ever since he took captaincy. He lead Pakistan through there most dark days when no one else was willing to accept captaincy. Out of all, one of the most rare facet among Pakistani captains is communication skills and professionalism on and off field, we have very few captains in our history who possessed this.

Alas, you can safe I'm big fan of him.

Surprising to hear, from the outside he looks to have clearly done a great job.

Definitely brought some respect back to Pakistan and they now have a very good team, looking forward to the SA series

Indeed, also I must say I was tad surprised by Mohammad Hafeez leadership skills. He seems like a decent chap too!

Detest saying this but those who detest Misbah Ul Haq are in state of denial as they say Shahid Afridi is a better captain than Misbah Ul Haq, an absurd remarks!

I definately think Kallis and Shiv are up there.  Onions is an underrated player for me he had a really good start to his international career and even after his injury he's a better test bowler than Bresnan surely!
