Legget and Coe Prophecy
« on: January 28, 2013, 01:28:59 AM »

Hey guys, this is just a bat I got from the university club captain to do a refurb on. Since it is a relatively unknown brand, I thought I would share some pics. :)

A really lovely bat, the response is really up there with the best bats I have seen! It is a G2 bat, and looks like that with the odd blemish and 7 straight-ish grains, but performs better than a LOT of G1 bats I have seen. It weighs around 2lb 8oz without a grip, and was apparently made in Kent! I think he scored 135 in a game last year with this, so it definitely works for him. 8)

Leggett and Coe?  Sounds like the kind of company that takes your money then runs off!

Think they are based in Scotland, quite a few league players turning out with them now. Haven't seen one in the flesh, but fair play to the guy, as Scotland doesn't have any cricket brands. I know they wont be made there but its a start!

They are very nice bats from what I have seen, tapped up 3 of them so far and all have been exceptional. I agree that it is quite a nice start for a Scottish brand, as there are quite a surprising number of people who play cricket here! Maybe if I decide to podshave, I could become the first Scottish/Chinese podshaver with his own brand! 8)

I shall post pics of the refurb, to be honest, it was just a sand, oil, re-grip and scuff needed! Just waiting for the oil to dry and soak in. 8)
