I am 16 years old wanting to progress into a cricket coach. I have my level one coaching award, and have been helping out with my district under 15's and 13's. I just want to know any recommendations of what I do next?

Without wishing to state the obvious mate, you will need to do your level 2, and just keep on coaching!

Keep eye out on ecb site for jobs etc but you'll need at least level 2 I'd have thought and get on to the ecb head coach of your area for help

In a normal scenario yeah, but if you're assistant coach at district level already, then you would be in a position to do it. I would get onto your county board and I don't see why you wouldn't get on one. The rules are bendable..... I never did my level 1.

You are doing exactly the right thing. You have your level 1 so now do as much coaching as you can for the next 2 to 3 years. You are already working with your district sides so you are in the right place. Contact the county setup and offer your services. Perhaps go into some local schools and offer to do some coaching.

It's one thing to have the coaching certificate but you now need some experience before you move onto your level 2. If you are looking to do this as profession make sure your CV has as much experience on it as possible as that is what employers will be looking for.

do what Mr Bulldog says and what Nick says.

the only thing I would add is that as you coach think of new ways to help people and see what activities are going on in other sports which could have a cross over use to cricket and keep a record of them and use them when you are leading sessions.

Also work in your own game and experiment on yourself!
