Wool Sweaters
« on: January 30, 2013, 10:50:15 AM »

Just found a place that makes pure wool long sleeved sweaters and i am wondering what do people think a good price for them. I am just about to order one. Is £50 a fair price for one seeing that it will probably outlast my career?

For a pure wool that's a pretty normal price. With a Tommy Hilfiger badge they are £125!!

Most of the ones I've seen have varied from £45 - £75

I still use my dads old wool sleeveless. Think it must be 40 years old. I wouldn't swap it for one of these new types. Retains heat and I prefer the traditional look.

Still use my original 1st XI sleeveless sweater (coming up to 15 years old and still looks good), paired with a sweat stained baggy blue. Traditional all the way.

Ha! Brilliant. Mine just shrank my favourite golf sweater. I went nuts, then she cooked up a belting curry and all was forgiven...

We had some made to mark the centenary of our club a few years back. Had a short sleeve and a long sleeve that the good lady washed after 1 games use. They had shrunk so much i ended up donating them to one of the kids in the U13 :(
