Last few years Amla has become an important batsman for South Africa. He is now at 1st position in ICC ODI batsman ranking.

Very stylish and technically sound batsman, a real gentleman too. I am big fan of Amla.

His batting reminds me a lot of Cook, call at the crease excellent technically and able to accumulate big scores from long innings

I've been a big fan of his for a couple of years now. When SA played Somerset in a tour match this year I was waxing lyrical about him to some team mates who were sat watching with me.

Don't rate him. He looks awkward, were just some of the thing they were saying.

I couldn't care what they thought, I think he's total class.

Think he is almost the perfect cricketer, a gentleman, plays the game as it was intended and is a bloody good batsman. I  would say he is a bit slow for my taste, however there is no doubting he is an outstanding test match player.
