Yep my good friend vishal has signed as pro for morcambe
Get to line up against him in a pre season friendly which should be fun

Justin Langer, Adam Gilchrist, Azhar Ali, Daniel Flynn, Yasir Arafat have all played in Scottish Club Cricket.

Shane Harwood supposedly was unplayable when he played for St Anne's  in the Northern Premier league. Took 100 wickets in 22 games @ 7's in 2005!!

Mike Hussey, Matt Horne, Michael Papps, Ed Cowan, George Bailey, Todd Astle, Kruger van Wyk, Tom Cooper, along with plenty of others too.

We might be (No Swearing Please), but we get good players to come play our cricket for us.

Lou Vincent sub pro'ed for us last year, top bloke! came and did a few senior practices too. Ramsbottom have a LOT of money and seem to get very very good pro's and amateurs to go and play for them. However some of the littler clubs such as colne have had some big pro's such as Anwar Ali a few seasons ago.

Just revisited the scorecard.... think I might of run myself out trying to get off strike in the first fixture!

He didn't get me out in the second fixture, though he pin me.

Worst would be the Bradford and Yorkshire Leagues, where you can end up playing county players in Second XI cricket!

Blain and Gould playing for Gomersal 2's

Murray Goodwin played a few years in Aire Wharfe years back, so did Harwood
i know Laxman and Mohammed Yousaf played bradford league, when he was Yousaf Yohanna along with plenty of other internationals and county pro's

Your club scene sounds ridiculous. Probably on the same level as our provincial level which is the step before Northen Districts.
Any guys from the UK been to NZ who can comment on the difference of levels?

Brett is an established 1st class pro, whereas as Luis is a local lad playing county 2nds, so not sure how you've come to that conclusion.

I suppose Luis is a proper all rounder (in fact playing for the unicorns he seemed to play more as a bowler) whereas as Brett is really a batter who's bowling is handy at league level.

I remember the story either last year or year before when Mohammed Amir turned out for a village team illegally. Opened the batting scored 50 odd and took a few wickets with the new ball. Asif also did something similar. Akhtar had a game once in the birmingham leagues to get fit and of course Akram turned out for Smethwick in his top of the line sports car about 5 mins before start of play and bowled serious wheels. Donald turned out for K&D years back also and was lethal!!
