A rather big bat
« on: February 19, 2013, 10:34:06 AM »

This is an absolute monster of a bat. I haven’t seen many bats this size for the weight.

The spec are as follows

2.9 with a toe guard but without a grip
7 grains
Laminated
Malik Profile
Bowed Blade
45mm edges

There is a shoulder crack on the back of this bat, which we will fully guarantee and repair free of charge.
I don’t think the crack will progress. If this doesn’t sell I’ll keep it for myself. A genuinely imposing bat.

£205 posted to mainland UK.

It's hardly going to crack through the glue and onto the same spot on the second piece of wood is it?

So tempted to get this bat. Should never have checked this forum after getting my BC.

BB

Is this made by your usual bat maker? and I presume the guarantee is 12 months?

The bat looks great and I know the crack has been glued but it still has a crack in it. I don't think I'd spend £205 for it..... Looks nice though!

How thick is the top surface ? Does a laminate have shorter life than a regular well pressed single blade bat  ?
Do you guys see a major difference in ping/performance with laminates as compared to a regular bats ?

I haven't used one ..just trying to understand the diference

i see your point but this isnt your usual run of the mill type bat. bear in mind that given the size /weight , a 12 month warranty, 3 day money back guarantee if its not right for you and the fact there is glue there already, should be sufficient.
