Gray Nicolls bats
« on: February 19, 2013, 05:13:57 PM »

Strange question warning in advance!!

Is it just me or are the A61, E41 and teh Kaboom! GN bats essentially all the same with minor differences in the size of the edges/spine?  Pick-up wise and profile wise they all look very much the same.  A clear distinction can be made from the Powerbow of course.  Just asking because I bought an A61 whilst in Sydney and now considering buying a Kaboom as a net bat.

Thanks!

A bit like kookaburra, all the GN bats look the same to me. Including the legend and Oblivion.

it is a lovely shape though.

I am sure Alex and Chris would tell me that isn't the case however.

Yes all with light pick up, all the weight is in the middle/lower.  You can't really fault the A61.  Got the grade 2 version and its a very solid bat

The Legend is distinctly different to the Oblivion in my eyes.

The rest of the bats are pretty similar in terms of profile though. Dynadrive and Scoop aside of course.

I think the Legend and Oblivion are different too!
I get on well with the Oblivion I have. I did have a Legend which was a stunner! I desperately wanted to get on with it, but I simply couldn't time it and I couldn't find the middle a lot! In short it just didn't suit me!
I sold it to someone on the forum, who absolutely loved it!  :(
