Mobile use of CBF
« on: February 22, 2013, 03:50:48 PM »

All, I've seen various complaints about issues with using CBF from mobile devices, so I wanted to gather a bit of feedback.

Please let us know if you have had issues with connecting to or an aspects of using the mobile site, i.e. the one that looks like this:

Also, if you have issues with using the normal site from a mobile device, we'd like to hear about those too.

Equally, if you have any positive feedback on using the site from mobile devices, that is always welcome!

Quite often when I try to access either site from either iPhone or iPad it comes up with a message which says 'server stopped responding' don't know if it's just me though?

Do you know when this started and roughly where it occurs geographically? I've seen this occur when I've had network interruptions.

A nice big fat refresh button would be handy, the usual connection problems but nothing too bad. I use an iPhone 5 and its fine.

This happened on my ipad when i went to Center Parcs. Typing the sites IP address into the url bar solved it though.

Up in the isolated chilliness of Cumbria.
Started a good 5 months ago though.
When you click the link to CBF the URL loads in the top bar then it comes up with the message. If you press back to go to google the URL stays even if I search something else.

I haven't had any problems viewing the full site on a mobile, until the last couple of days when photos no longer show up. Same problem on the mobile version of the site.

I have major issues with iPhone and iPad even when at home with a full wireless connection. Regularly get page cannot be displayed and have to wait 10 mins and eventually the page will show after refreshing
