Do you leave the stickers on the edge of your bat?

Yes, they never cause me a problem
Not always, if they start coming off I remove them

Stickers on the edge
« on: March 05, 2013, 08:27:53 PM »

Is it only me who has a problem with stickers down the edges of a bat or do some of you know what I'm talking about?
I like to get my money's worth and use the whole bat, so the edges get plenty of use. However, this often leaves the stickers hanging off the edge. Once they start coming off I just remove them, and was wondering if anyone else did this. Any tips (other than use the middle) to keep the stickers on the edge looking in a reasonable state?

Use a wide scuff sheet?

I tend to take any edge stickers off, especially below the top main sticker.

I'd leave them off of I think they are in good taste.
Any sticker that says 'Big Edge' comes off right away

Never paid a blind bit of notice if I'm honest to edge stickers. I would only remove them if they came away as I would not want to be caught behind of a sticker. Also the sound of the sticker could make an umpire think there has been an edge.

Take them off because they look rubbish on most bats I have, but I use a big wide enough scuff sheet so it would cover them if I kept them on, problem solved

I take them of straight away before oiling. I just think they are pointless, after a few games and nets they are hanging of anyway.

Nearly all my bats I always just leave the splice stickers on front and back...everything else comes off. Big fan of less is more with bat stickers.

I'm not a huge fan of the edge sticker but leave it on anyway.

I'm liking what gray nics did by engraving the company name on the edge

I suppose SS were miles ahead of everyone in terms of branding the edges, just a bit more mainstream now

I'm not really a fan of anything on the edge, if the stickers become damaged I'll take them off.
