Monty looks less of a threat than Martin. That's a concern.

different bowlers.

Martin used the wind etc to assist his 'flight' bowling. Monty isn't that type.

i guess that is why Monty isn't quite world class. A team with a world class spinner having seen Martin turn it in the first innings would be expecting a five for from their spinner. With Monty we need the pitch to suit him, not just it being a spinning pitch. Not seen him move it off straight yet.

pretty much that with Monty. He's good on a pitch that suits him, on anything else he's not quite good enough. Still, let's hope Swann comes back from his elbow injury the same bowler. The bowling unit misses him more than people admit.

I thought Monty bowled very well there, would like to see a leg-slip in with the straight line he is bowling

Looks like rain will save the English this time. It's also forecast for tomorrow.

Forecast for tomorrow is rain becoming persistent, little likely hood of play, maybe a session at the most so off to Auckland all square with still a chance to steal a series win.

Hopefully the Kiwi's will prepare a devil of a wicket for the last test.. Seam everywhere, dodgy bounce.. the lot.

Will make it a winner takes all game :)

Forecast is holding true, rain throughout the day. Agree pitches need a bit of spicing up, Auckland tends to offer a little more to the bowlers but still a very good wicket.

And the stupid thing is we are in the middle of a drought, before the test started Wellington city had only 20 days left of water in reserve, I'm sure the farmers are a little happier.
