GM Luna series?
« on: March 06, 2013, 09:26:10 PM »

So I notice that GM seem to have discontinued the Luna model... :(

Having had one before (and stupidly getting rid of it) I am wondering where in the future people will still have stock of any? Cannot afford to buy one right now but will only be looking to get a 606/707/808 as they tend to get pricey and I am a relatively skint fella! Also I favour the lighter bats so 2lb9-2lb10 is what I would be looking for, not too picky really!  :-[

That or if anyone here has one and is interested in selling sometime? Thanks in advance guys!

We just recently sold our last remaining Luna, an Original.

My favourite GM shape of recent times.

I'm surprised the Luna didn't sell better in this country.  We couldn't give them away! An English made bat, with a low middle but very light pick-up and quite a clever, original shape from GM.  Is that not ideal for English wickets??!

Is GM still selling overall as well as in the pat? I'm seeing less and less of them about that's all.

I think the stickers let it down, dull brown has never been a very eye catching colour...!

There is this beauty on ebay, probably worth a haggle

agree Paul. I thought the shape and the cutouts were very innovative. I briefly had one and felt the lighter weight made it a bit underpowered. That said a team mate had a lighter version that went really well. Like a lot of GM's around then they didn't stand out on the edge or size front. Maybe some flat face and big edge treatment like the current GM bats would of helped sales. After all the Dynadrive is very similar.

Shop at the Cricket Centre in Guildford and knocking out all gear with 30% off, There was a nice Luna there, But I feel the price is still far too high for what you get.

how is that seller still on ebay. Selling rubbish bats with fake stickers.

the worrying thing is it has a bid at 99p. horrible grains, filler in the edge and horrific fake stickers. probably end up doing for a decent amount lol

I think it was deceptive, never felt like it would be powerful in the hands but did it ever go when you hit it! I didn't have it that long but in the short time I used mine I hit a few nice boundaries with minimal effort. Just wish I could get hold of another! Perhaps one day I will have to go to a batmaker and get one made for me in the same shape as the GM.

Here are some Luna Pics  :) I think it will be pretty difficult to hand make this because of the scoops.

A bit of a long shot, but have you tried contacting GM direct?
