For information, the bats that were put through their paces were as follows:
A KG that cost £95.
My "Pendle" which was made from a £65 cleft and pressed by Matt H4L.
Two MSR bats, one at £40 and one a £25 net bat.
A 2012 Scoop, which when bought would have cost £165, but currently cost upwards of £175 and can be found at £200

A Laver Special Reserve which cost £200 but would set you back £249 direct.
A Dynadrive that cost £160.
A B3 Custom One Stripe that came in at £165.
The scoring was done as follows:
Each person was asked to rate Overall Appearance, Willow, Pick-Up and Ping and each was averaged to give scores out of 10 for all four. Ping is taken from use with a real ball, against the Bola and bashing it with a mallet. The price was taken into account and, as per previous batoffs, anything less than £100 was awarded 10 points, then decreased by a point per £25 interval, i.e. £101-£125 = 9 points, £126-£150 = 8 points. Bats below £50 were awarded a bonus point!
The average scores for appearance, willow, pick-up and price were summed and multiplied by the "ping factor" which is the average ping score divided by 10. This gives a score out of 40 and if the quality in use was deemed to be terrible, then the ping factor brings the score down.
Where do you think the various bats came out?
