Fair play for doing something a bit different with the softs, sure not to everyone's taste but they fit the brand name at least.

I think the brand image is a bit confused at the moment though. Brash brand name, same with the softs but quite classy and elegant stickers for the bats which are very obviously Salix. I think you should be a bit braver there.

Good base to start from though as you know the quality is there :)

The gloves are v similar to the Pod Arma template and the Pads seem to take a great deal of inspiration from the Pod Players pads - whilst they may not be exactly the same they take a lot of the design cues. It's the same from the stickers, not Salix stickers but lots of design features taken from them which just looks odd when combined with a jazzier colour scheme and name.

To me this spin off brand looks like a reaction to H4L's emergence on the scene in salix's patch. An attempt to get away from the public school boy image.

As someone who is in the market for pads I wouldn't choose these just on aesthetics, get rid of the Hits Hard and then they would be considered, for me the branding just doesn't do it for me, just my views and all the best

I presume that everyone has noted that they are very similar to the AJK range, but with poorer quality materials.

I like the bat stickers. The softs are quite fun.

How do you know they are poorer quality? Have you tried them on?

I like the look of the lettering on the gloves, they are new and different! All of it looks really smart, hopefully have some spare cash knocking about when this all comes out :)

johnrockin - please feel free to educate us with your experience of these softs! Obviously you have tried them? Or are you just guessing?

Please feel free to make observations from viewing these. But please don't speculate on the quality of materials used unless you have actually felt them or tried them....that is what the proper reviews are for!

Personally I wouldn't use the softs as I prefer the Salix softs...love the Salix softs in fact! Very classy!
The HH bats look quite a powerful profile and the stickers almost look like neon 60's diner theme! Not the worst, but would need to see them in the flesh to judge fairly. Different for sure!

Seems to be alot of guessing going on ? maybe wait to reseve judgement until you have tried them on and bat with them, might be an idea... bats look big and i quite like the ones with imperfections!

I like the 50s/60s USA style bat stickers. Could get good US sales with them?

The branding on the pads and gloves is different, not to my taste though. Good to have a brand offering alternative products.

The gloves and pads may lead to some sledging I feel, especially if you don't time one out the middle.

Yeah, I'm not too keen on the gloves.  But the bats have something pretty cool about them - within the context of cricket equipment, there is at least an attempt to be a little bit different, which I really dig.

The lettering on the gloves is a little bit iffy, but the gloves themselves look nice. I like the pads but again, not keen on the lettering. Blank they would be really nice...Bats look superb...it's only the lettering I'm not keen on overall. The logo itself is nice.

I'm still confused as to why Salix decided to set up another brand for this. Surely it would have been better to do a more 'price point' range with Salix stickers to allow people to join the 'Salix' club at a more affordable price? Ease them in gently so to speak! If Salix stand by the quality and workmanship of the product, as I'm sure they do, then I can see no reason to spend thousands on a re-branding? It comes across as if they don't really want it associated with Salix and I would have thought that is the very thing you would want in a 'budget' range!  An association with one of the best around?

Anyway, I like the gear and I'm glad it's on sale...
