A celebration of brand establishment.
« on: March 17, 2013, 03:58:54 PM »

With the upcoming launch of the official Blueroom website and to celebrate what will hopefully be a great 2013 for Robert Pack Cricket the master pod shaver has decided to do something very very special!! A truly Limited Edition run of 50 bats. 10 junior and 40 senior clefts are all being hand picked by Rob from his own willow plantation and only the 50 very best will be used!! This is what most of you will refer to as Pro willow. However this isn't just the pretty stuff guys, these are actually what Rob uses to service his County and International stars. After talking to Rob we came to the conclusion that he simply doesn't push his brand enough, I think this will be the RP way of making noise!!! It's all too easy to get on Twitter//facebook etc and network online when someone else is making your bats, when you have to do it yourself its not as easy to get the name out. Rob wants blueroom to develop into a brand worthy of the top shelf and to be honest I believe it already is. He still likes things done the old way, hands over machines and a face to the name . The guy puts his heart and soul into his work and its passion over profit Northants, that with a focus on value for money and customer service has helped blueroom develop a reputation worthy of expansion. He doesn't blow his own trumpet so I step in, as well as all the other paying customers and we all do it for him!!!
Anyway  ill let the images do the talking. These are first come first served and are priced at £280.00. Stand that up next to your £400+ bat from a shelf and you see what I'm talking about!! He's in it for the Love of his job and his love of the game. The big man  wants to be known as one of the best, he's got the clientele and the CV to back it up, Another Eric Loxton or Andy Kember at salix but still keeping the bat making a personal service for the cstomer.

This one below is actually mine  :D and yes I paid for it! I can get better images for anyone and clefts available can be viewed on request. I've not measured the edges yet but the bat is 2lb9.5oz on the scales and its absolutely MASSIVE!! the images don't do the bat or Rob any justice.

Another stunning monster. I'd be interested in Robs thought process when he is selecting these clefts, what are the key characteristics he looks for in a Pro cleft?

Bow - it is. I never thought is say it but its better than my RPC, and by a way as well.
Jog - weight is key and performance. What he's doing with these is taking those into consideration and then whittling them down to get the very best of performance, weight to size ratio and including aesthetics. That's why they're LE.
Manor - do you want a number or alternate email address mate??

But yeah its amazing and all for only 280.00

Why look anywhere else, if you want something special, and who doesn't you all know where I am. :) these will not hang around long.

When I was in his workshop a couple of years back now (time flies!) I picked up a couple of bats he had done for county pros. They were massive bits of wood but light as....if these are half as good they will be amazing!

You see the ones for Mustard lad?? 2.8 and 40mm hahaha ridiculous!!!
These are as said, the best of the best so expect that sort of thing. There were about 8-9 clefts rob had cut down and handled for these bats and plenty were as big if not bigger than mine and finished weights were listed around 2.9

That is a serious piece of willow Pidge, I can see Mr Pack ending up with a nice chunk of my bonus this month.
