Getting Settled
« on: March 25, 2013, 06:20:28 PM »

Hi Guys,

Need a bit of help with an issue that's been bugging me for ages now.

I've got a trial on Sunday for my U15s national side and I'm quietly confident in my chances, and I've had an action remodel over the winter which has boosted my pace a lot but means I'm struggling to find my line and length early on because it's so unfamiliar. I know that when I start to get going I'll be fine but I'm worried if I keep bowling wides at the start I'll ruin my chances of being picked. Does anyone have any tips I could use to get over this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Listen mate, I think if you have trials for your national team, then the last think you need is 25 different pieces of advice from 25 different people. Secondly, you're not going to change anything in less than a week.

Well done at gaining trials for the national side. All i can say is try to relax, i know its easier said that done, but is only the real advice i can give. I see you have some confidence in your own ability.

A pint or 8 before you start to settle the nerves??
Worked very well for one of our 2nd XI players a few years back so must be worth a try  ;)
