Anyone else seen the new reserve bat it has a huge profile, I want one now. Shame they are so expensive I would order one straight even though I have just got a new private bin. What do you all think?

Really amazing bat. However, I do not like the option of giving the willow a second round of drying to create a even bigger profile... even James' is no keen on it and offers a minimal warranty on these over dried bats.

However, the reserve bat made from the standard willow looks simply amazing....the only down side is the price.

Barry if you want to sell ur private bin, I am game for it....

That Laver takes the prize as the most over hyped bat on the market, happy to over dry some willow for you at �350 per bat and sell with no warranty. In fact will do it on a buy one, get one free deal too.

harsh words. Have you used them before?

This special reserve bat prices me out of the market, but the Heritage and Private Bin I think are well worth it. especially in comparison to a top end off-the-shelf bat.

I haven't used Newbery, Warsop or Fusion, so can't compare quality, but price seems to be in the same ball park.

Mike - James has clearly stated he will not dry the bats any more than standard unless you are a current professional player. Im sure the normal special reserve bats have a warranty.

I'm sure James will sell you a Reserve Players Grade Bat if you asked for it.... which you dont have to really as you just fill in a form and your card details to order it

i havnt used the bats, and i arent willing to pay 350 pounds for a bat, when you can find one of equal quality for a lot cheaper

If you've not used one, how do you know what the quality is?

Admittedly, �350 is a bit steep, but you can still get a grade 1 from James for around �220 (inlcuding shipping from NZ)

I'd love to try one of those, not good enough to use a bat that expensive I'd be so scared of breaking it. Do you think any other batmakers would be willing to make a copy of that shape or be willing to do the extra drying?
I don't want the drying, just curious.

In all honesty if I was to part with �300+ for a bat from the other side of the world, it would be a screaming cat from Julian Millichamp!
