Gray Nicolls duffle
« on: March 27, 2013, 01:02:17 PM »

I was just wondering as to whether anybody has one of these? I'm thinking more on the standard model like 2013's which goes for around £20, not the pro performance.

if anybody does have these what is the size like, can you fit everything you need in there for a game day? My current duffle bag has seen better days and looking at getting a new one ready for the season.

Thanks for any help!

Paul from IJC did a review of this on his youtube, He did not rate it highly at all. I have just got the M&H T3 and I think it is very good.

A team mate of mine had one but the light gray top part of the duffle came away completely at the seam. Whoever he got it from replaced it FOC for the Pro version which seems very decent.

Cheers guys, I may have to re-think on what bag to get then. I'll have to watch Paul's review later when I have the time. Roco, where did you get your bag from mate?

I've got the slaz v360 which is a duffle-esque bag. Only used it for nets so far but seems very good so if you're after something along these lines I'd recommend it.

Hi mate, that does look like a pretty big duffle! Would you say from the few times you have used it that you're able to/would be able to fit everything you need into it?

Yes, I'm sure it will fit everything. I was a little worried when I first got it as my ayrtek took a bit of manoeuvring to get it into the helmet compartment and the main section for pads felt a bit tight. The ayrtek fits great now and I think the pads fit better too, think the bag must have loosened a little with use.

Plenty of pockets in it - main one for pads/bats (and where I'll keep jumpers), helmet pocket, smaller front pocket for phone, toiletries, etc and a larger front bit for spikes, gloves, thigh pad, whites, etc. also a mesh bit outside for drinks.

I used to have a gm duffle for midweek as I often get a bus part way and a larger wheelie for weekends. Sold both of those as I reckon the v360 is fine for both.

Sounds like it does the job nicely! I gave up with wheelies a few years back. They might be very big but they cost far too much IMO where if you can find the right duffle it is cheaper and more practical!

I'll have to have a better look at this duffle. There's also a woodworm one that seems similar in size.
