Bat now used in a game a 65 off 80 balls

Well it has changed my perception of what I thought I wanted in a bat which I guess is a good thing.

My normal bats normally are heavily concaved and always have a round handle this bat is the very contrast and I have seen a difference and value for runs is a testament for the shape.

Don't get me wrong this is a special bat and better than the average bat for the weight as it made from the best of the best willow in terms of weight ratio but I found the profile more forgiving even a miss times drive flew over cover where a week before with the lighter more concaved bat it certainly wouldn't have done.

Yes I was in much better form this week than the other and that certainly helped me score freely but the bat was strange it felt strange due to the changes and I hadn't even netted with it properly until I used it in a match.

It simple is a great bat pick up as others can testify is ridiculous the weight in the hitting area which is in truth most of the bat.

The volume I wood is around the equavilat to a 3-1oz bat so I guess it is kind of special and the coverage is amazing glad I gave it a whirl and will be using it for the season..

It was not obviously custom to me bun I suspect it will be a shape I will be copying I just hope I can get the same quality of willow again.

I guess it makes all my other bats redundant

Old news but this bat has changed my thoughts on bats massively

I can no longer use round handles or concaved profiles including the first b3 I got and I am finding the added 3 oz from normal manageable and the process of the fuller bat with smaller edges but a bigger profile much better.

It has the biggest oval handle but I have netted and netted with this bat to get used to it and boy I have it been quite a time I have confidence in a bat like this one.

Shows pre conceptions can change about bats mine have.

I have been using concaved bats for around 7 to 8 years I know for now I will not be using them anymore

Time for Dave's Big Bat Sale?

given he needs a decent pair of trainers and money for the Laver, I think it's more than likely :-)

No mate truth is yes I would like the laver to look at but nothing even comes close to the trott bat I have let a couple of people use it in the indoor nets I guess they might agree it a bloody top bat in every sense.

I know there through experiance this bat is the real deal pick up and everything my b3 this one is a once in a lifetime bat

I have already given away 2 bats to club mates never one to hoard I like to use not look at and you can only use one at a time :D

For me I guess I have the best for me in this bat

Given the actual weight and science it should be around 3-2oz for the wood but no.

That's density that's a pro cleft

The bat is simply too heavy for me

Had 4 innings with it one 65 and 3 low scores and all 3 beaten for pace and bowled with unlike last season only bowled 2 times all season.

I love the bat it is a work of art but now it not correct (yes Alvaro Steve I should have listened) I late and struggling hooking pulling horizontal shots and know it not right the 65 was on a slow wicket against medium pacers

What do I do with it is my question.

Streaky has said they do what they can to whittle it down to a manageable weight

Sell it as it is pretty special not sure whittling it down might lose it quality a tad

Or frame it due to it heritage and although I have other made for and used by this one is special
.

Yes I have my other b3 with is going great guns and is a great bat..

What to do ??

I love the bat I really do it more crunchier than my other b3 which is a gun but feel it just too heavy I went there and jumped on the uniqueness of it it is a bloody weapon

Personally I would sell it (to me maybe?) and free up money for another bat.

I think that due to the pure unique factor of the bat mate, it deserves to be used, and you should sell it to someone :). Looks a smashing bat, and I'm sure you could get near enough back what you paid for it

I'm going to go against the others and suggest you get some weight taken off by B3. Nothing lost, nothing gained. It's the only way you'll know if it's a weapon because of the weight or the design of the bat itself.

And if anybody else wants one, it sounds like B3 has the willow and processes to make something just as special. So look after yourself first Dave.

The greatness of b3 is they can reproduce anything including this as they have done already.

Yes it special willow but having seen some of there clefts not too long ago they surely had more intact I think I saw the same number (they give number to clefts) which would make the same bat time after time.

Maybe your right smokem

Back to b3 today and the jt bat is altered and in a way it hard to tell bar the pick up the feel is the same and the staff cheers streaky and the master bat maker gav top lad who did a great Job.

Also saw another England players bats today bit heavy at 2-14 or I would have got one and some lovely lovely clefts in.

Also got to have a tap around with a serious sareen there from another international player bat there for copying it was exceptional but the copies where top top class.

Great blokes there and a great service pictures to follow

So 2 out of England 11 players are using b3 and various others getting re stickered sounds like there making cracking bats
