Big profile with a light weight
« on: April 07, 2013, 08:50:09 AM »

Wanted to make pretty light weight with a big profile with a long middle.
Following is the result:

Weight : 2.8.3 including thick half moon grip, facing and stickers.
Spine Max: 67 mm
Edge max : 30 mm
light concaving.
1 inch shoulder drop, hence long handle with thick oval bottom.

Picks up very light. Did some knocking in today and the middle spreads pretty large and wide.

Would love to hear feedback!

Is this a refurbed bat that you have made adjustments to? Just seems like a sticker or scuff sheet was applied and has been removed as there is a line across the front then the wood is lighter?

it is actually a scuff sheet present in the photos where the wood is seen light. Dark wood is due to linseed oil.

These bats are definitely progressing nicely - not sure about the edge stickers on bowed bats though ...

Viewing on a iPhone has its drawbacks!!! Looks a big bat again for the weight. I would say the side stickers dont suit the bat in that position.

Thank you.

Totally agree on the side stickers. Where made as an afterthought and would definitely be the one to be changed in the next version of stickers.

Is it just me or do the stickers make it look a bit like a fag packet?

Seems like you have recently given up smoking and missing it badly:)

Hahaha.

On a serious point another quality stick from ST, but prefer the outdoor shots ;).
