Kookaburra softs!

Hey guys jut wanted some feedback on kookaburra softs I'm thinking of getting some for the season and just seeing if they are up to much and also do you have to pay for the top stuff or is the mid range stuff decent?

The top stuff is worth forking out for, the mid range stuff is fairly non descript.

That being said, to me there isn't much of a difference in quality between the Kahuna Players pads (the top pad in the kahuna range, £99) and the Recoil 900 pads (top pad in the recoil range, £63)

i have the riochet 750 gloves and they are lovley... not much diff between them and the 1000's

pads however are a different story!

Hi Chaps,

Haven't posted much but I actually have some insight this time!

I've just bought the 2012 version of the K1000 gloves and they are fantastic. I usually use split finger gloves so I was expecting a little inflexibility - turns out my fears were unfounded and they are lovely. They're so comfortable I'm wearing them now (actually I'm not). Basically, I love them like they were my children.

I've also got the Blade Strike pads from the '07 season (I think...could be '08...). They only cost me £35 so I wasn't expecting much, fortunately my expectations were about right. They're not horrible, they're pretty light and protect me enough for the level I play at. I like the fact that they wrap quite far around the leg but I *really* don't like that the straps are long enough to tie in a double  knot. They're just a bit nothing really.

Having said all that about the pads, I'm loath to get rid of them as they've held together brilliantly (as is always the way with kit you can't wait to replace) and they have moulded to my legs beautifully now... read into that what you will.

Ive never had a bad experience with kooka softs, apart from the blade strike pads from about 4 years ago were a tad flimsey (since have been dontated to the father)

Always used Kooka softs mate, always been top drawer...

Currently have R900 pads and two pairs of Ice sub zero gloves - have no doubt the Kahuna range (top end) is top, top quality.

Whats the r900s like? im looking at replacing my warsop plat pro's with ricochet 1000s to match my bat, also just purchased ice 850 gloves  comfiest ive worn! dont care if theyre out dated! sausage fingers all the way

I really like the R900s - I had some Puma 5000 iridium pads before them, which were slightly lighter but the R900s fit me much better.  I'm sure the Ricochet 1000s will be quality, was looking at them myself until I picked up the R900s on amazon.

You're spot on re; the Ice gloves.  Great colours, sausage fingers and so comfortable.  I've got the last two updates in the Ice range and absolutely love them!

i started with the sub zero and just fell inlove with the blue kooka softs!  not a fan of the 2013 ricochet gloves,  BRING BACK THE SAUSAGE!!!

I'll be getting some of the 2012 Kahuna 1000 pads and gloves soon, I'll let you know how I get on with them! I remember my old Ice Sub Zero pads, which were amazing, but the straps were far too long! :-[
