Do bats perform the same?
« on: April 20, 2013, 01:30:35 AM »

I have always said to myself that at one point or another, sooner or later all Grade1s will have same performance. Some take longer to reach their peak but at one point or another ALL would perform the same?

Is this possible theoretically?

Cheers

Look at the counter hypothesis. At no point in Time will any grade 1 bat perform equally with another. As we know that sometimes you get pretty but dud willow that never performs, I'd say the counter is more likely.

Surely there are too many variables for the answer to be '1'.

Wood is a natural material so every tree is different, then there's the variation in the bat making process. Moisture content and how much it's pressed will make a huge difference to how a bat performs.

Many Grade 4 bat's will out-perform Grade 1 bats, and visa versa.

There's just too many variables.
