Went in at 10 and got 18 not out. We got 116 and they got that in the last over. Good game though!

Had my first proper game today, first thing I will say to all you guts with nice new bats please ensure your oppo provide decent balls! 4 broken bats today, 2 split completely and there bats were on the second season, bloody ball sounded like hitting a plastic pipe on a concrete wall when they bowled. £600 worth of smashed willow today including one of mine, although mine is easily repairable.

We used a readers and it was fine when they batted.

Any way only scored 16 but all 4's and then took 4 catches behind the stumps so not a bad start to the season from a keeping point of view, got to remember not to shoulder arms to an inswinger :(

Hard luck pal, really annoys me why people don't fork out a bit more money for a decent ball!  >:(

Any photos of the damage?

Not selected this week, struggling with golfers elbow; hopefully I can shake it off, and not miss bowling this season. :(

Congrats on the results guys, some top bowling and batting by the sounds of things! Best of luck to everyone for the rest of the season.

Will put some up tomorrow mate. Mine is in the vice in the workshop having the glue settle in the crack so I can sand it in the morning to use in the afternoon.

Bit of an underachievement then... It's only proper if it's a 5fer and a 100 ;)

Came in at 6 as tired from the 13 overs so did not get chance of a 100 but was a winning 50 so take it

We won by 151 runs, posted 250 off our 40 overs and skittles them for 99.

Cheeky 101* for me which was nice...second 50 off 13 balls according to our scorer, stiff as a board now tho and tomorrow game yet to come :)

Nice way to start the season, shame about the slow second 50 though  ;)

Yeah I wasn't too popular with their openers who came back on!

Won by 128 runs, got 5 at deep square leg which would have been a six at most grounds:(

Opened bat for the first time in ages and felt good, dropped a catch on the edge at long on- I never drop catches then I was given the ball and got 3 for 6 off 3.

Friendly for the first game of our season, with perhaps the oddest and most frustrating wides rules I've ever played with. 40 overs with anything outside leg is tough, but you can live with that.

The tricky bit was the offside. where they seemed to be calling anything more than a foot wide of the off stump as a wide, regardless. Batsman misses the ball on the offside trying to cut it? Wide. Batsman moves across to try and play the ball and misjudges the height so it goes over his bat? Wide. Batsman manages to pull a slightly shorter offside one back to the leg-side for a slog... Runs. It becomes very frustrating, as ball movement off the pitch is instantly penalised.

The result was we beat them, but they scored 85 ao with 42 coming from extras while we managed to knock it off for the loss of 3 wickets.

EDIT: A pleasant ground for South East London as well...

Bowled the opposition out for 136 today, I took 2-36 off 7.
We won by 1 wicket, I got caught for the most ugly 8 (being dropped twice) you've ever seen. At least the season is underway
