How often do you change your grip?
« on: April 22, 2013, 08:44:15 AM »

Just wondered how often do you guys change your grips?

Also do people replace their grips only when there is signs of wear or can grips need replacing before showing signs of wear and tear?

I use 2 grips.
Top one gets changed every season, and the bottom gets changed when it falls apart

I use 2 grips, i normally change it when i feel like it's going to break.

I change the top one maybe once or twice a season and the bottom when it breaks.

Usually have two grips; maybe use two a season on top one and change bottom one every pre season.

btw; don't use Kook' extreme grips - had two split on me in nets...

it depends on how much use tye bat has, I will be changing mine every 6 weeks or so, if it gets tacky or shows signs of wear.

mine probably could last a bit longer, but I like my grip to feel clean.

This reminds me I need to buy new grips. Once a season usually though, echo comments above though above 2 grips and leaving the second one until its broken.

As long they go for, I like feel of worn in grips as its more softer so once it seem to be drying I would wash it.

Depending on how long I net, but roughly every 4-5 nets.

What grips are you guys using?

I'm using chevrons or half chevron & half spiral.

Once there is sign of significant wear which is usually where the thumb is on the bottom hand

I use gm shock absorber grips, makes the bottom hand feel nice and thick

I only use white grips, hate having the inside of my gloves looking dirty. Octopus are my favourite grips too, by a fair length.
