Hi Bud,

I fully recommend under armour cold (for cold weather) and heat gear. I have used their 6 inch shorts for year playing competitive tennis and now cricket.

They keep my definitely do help my thighs (muscular, ectomorphy) and I find especially when playing tennis for a few hours, they are more sore if I don't use them. 

A decent pair of base-layer shorts should cost about £20 or less, tops are a bit more. You will need a separate pair of batting shorts or jock set-up for your box.

Holy thread resurrection, Batman!
SKINS for me. Breathable and contoured around muscles to stop them wobbling about, which helps with recovery. Definitely not nearly as sore the next day!

I've tried most of the brands on the market, as a few have said Skins are great, however are quite tight and might not be best for your situation. Personally I've found Under Armour the best on the market for quite a few reasons, firstly their range is better, with different fits, styles & materials to suit everyone. I also feel they are a similar if not better quality of product but far cheaper in price!

Sub sports are what I use, much the same as most other brands but a lot cheaper if you buy through Amazon! Their compression stuff is very good too.

Does anyone use compression sleeves for the arms? One of my football teammates had some the other day - designed for cycling apparently - but I thought they would work well for diving around in the field?
