i don't think ground size really matters to Gayle. I watched him hit the English bowling on to the Oval pavilion roof last summer....

I'm sorry but this is just a joke venue.

I'm a big fan of Chris Gayle, more so as he tends to punish the Proteas.

But Bangalore's ground is 60m all the way round at altitude. So anything half middled goes for 6.

Gayle was extraordinary but grounds like this shouldn't be used for professional cricket.

It's killing the game.

And this isn't sour grapes but look at RCB'd record soon as they play away from home they are found out.
I can understand your point on the small stadium, but not the 'killing the game'. If watching this match or the highlights inspire some kids to get off there fat (No Swearing Please) and start playing cricket then its great for the game. Cricket need players, without them the game will die off. 20twenty is here to stay so embrace it for what it is.(mainly entertainment)

We watched some of this a lunch in the staffroom at school and he hooked one onto the top part of the stand, it was a foot from going over at least a 100ft stand. That was 6 anywhere as was many of his sixes.

He certainly has the swagger of a man who knows he's a bit special at times

The game is in ride health.

Faste(r)eddie and I where talking about this earlier.

We both agree (he has to agree with me as I am the father) that Gayle's exploits are great, not forgetting Napier of course, who can't forget Bumble climbing into someone's garden in Chelmsford to get the ball back.

Gayle and the t20 crowd are bringing the game to a new audience, even my wife enjoys the odd game.

It's also forced a new raft of kit and technique developments which will only be good for us.
