i guess it will be difficult with the WI commitments he has this summer but would be fantastic. not getting to excited after last year though. First refusal as they say is a good thing for somerset and a result of not following up on gayles failure to complete what he was contracted to do.

Not the worst thing to have first refusal as an option if he's available. Do we know who Somerset's T20 overseas are yet? Still nothing to be too excited about as his international commitments will probably get in the way etc. :(

Their batting line up would be beyond ridiculous.

I definitely think that the creation of 2 divisions has increased the standard of cricket immeasurably.  Some of the big counties have top squads on paper.

We would happily take him, even if it was for a few games, and had to find another overseas player, the money he would bring just in tickets sales will be crazy, home and away!!

Lol do you speak for the whole of the Somerset Board, or just the management committee?

I agree with you, I think if there's the possibility even for just a few games then it would be worth it, but I think you have to register a squad for the whole tournament so he would use up one of the slots for the whole thing I guess.

True, but Rehman will be the LVCC overseas at the time, and because their batting is still pretty strong, think they'd just stick Rehman in
