B&S LE - Tendulkar Style Profile
« on: April 26, 2013, 08:32:32 PM »

We asked B&S to make us a Tendulkar style bat and as it happened they were toying with the idea anyway, not long after the conversation this beauty arrived, and was promptly purchased (and used) by one of our close friends.

Weight 2'10. Lovely low middle and rounded back profile, with a fantastic pickup, and like every B&S it pings like there's no tomorrow.

We have 3 more on the way at 2'9, 2'10, and 2'11

Price wise it is £235 for one of these unique 'one offs' from B&S

That's lovely, tried a Tendulkar profile once and it was nice and very forgiving. :D Darn it Jake, stop getting in all these lovely B&S when I have declared my kit in terms of bats complete! ;)

What level of cricket do you seriously start spending money on bats? I'm sure our host will say any level lol, ill be looking next year to seriously get back into things, issue is I'm playing in probably one of the worst standard leagues going, even with promotion I'm not sure it will be that higher standard. So money no real issue, ability shockingly out of touch! League level apparently poor, what would you do.

Don't you need to spend money on a bat at any level? Otherwise you'll have to borrow one??

Been given an old kookaburra Diablo, seems ok but I know nothing about bats, I'd like to look at getting my own for next year hence question, could then use kook for practise/spare etc

Everyone loves wielding a nice blade surely, regardless of the level they play?

Plenty of nice bats in stock at our place to suit every budget, I look forward to seeing you soon mate.

Visited the B&S factory today and had a good chat with one of the owners and the batmaker. Some really lovely looking blades coming through. Big difference this year is the pressing of their blades, really provides great performance right from the start without being too softly pressed. Selected a couple of lighter clefts and having a couple of bats made up. Should hopefully be done by next week.
