Which profile do you use?
« on: May 02, 2013, 07:02:14 PM »

After reading another thread I thought it would be a good idea to see what bat profiles people use.

So what profile do you use; do you prefer a high or low middled bat? Do you like any concaving? What is your home track like and which country do you play in?

My preference:

A mid / mid to high middled bat with minimal concaving. I play in the UK on a slow-low track.

What about you? It would be good to see if there is any relation to the types of wickets people play on and bat profiles.

Use a mid middled Chase with a fair bit of concaving (it only weighs 2lb7) and play in the South of England on all kinds of pitch. Some weeks it doesn't get above ankle height, the next week it can be zipping past your nose.

We play mostly on artificial turf so the bounce is a bit higher. I use a GM Flare which seems to suit the higher bounce.  No concaving on this baby.

Low to mid middle, Here in Zim the decks seem to stay pretty low, and get a fair amount of grass left on them. Also like an F2 (Flat Face), with minimal concaving

I have four bats that get used all with slightly different profiles. What They have in common is their middle location.
