Used my Puma Pulse 6000 2012 IPL gloves for only the second time in a game today (ive had two additional trainign sessions) and in the 5th over the stiching has come completely undone for one half of the thumb and the top of the webbing. Obviously this shouldnt happen after two uses. Appaling from Puma, really expected more from them (based on the glvoes i had from them a few years back).

The Mrs got them for me from Pro direct cricket at christmas. Will she have to contact them or is it best i go myself to them or Puma? Im now (No Swearing Please) for gloves and i dont want to spend �60 this weekend and then get them replaced or given store credit a little further down the line.

Any one experienced this before.

I had a pair of Kooks Silver Classics split last year the first time I used them. Bought them from Fordham Sports who sent them back to the manufacturer and they supplied me with a replacement pair.

I'm sure Pro Direct will do the same.

I also had the benefit of 16 other pairs of gloves which doesn't help you much but goes to show you can never have too much kit

my gn's split in the same place last season after 2 games. i just put nurses tape around it to fix it up. used them all season and will this season.

jimster has a point, gaffa tape, plaster, or sew them up yourself just like Jack

I could tape them up but having spent a bit of money on them i dont see why i should have to after just two games.

Send them back then mate, nice pair of used Newbery's on ebay at a low price for a spare pair

yeah i went back to the shop i got them from and they gave me a replacement, but after a couple games they split as well. So just settled for the tape which was a minor set back to the quality of the gloves

ask if you can get them replaced, if not sew them up and then some gaff over it

If your going to use tape, try and find some that have some sort of grip to it, as gaffa is quite slippery right?

Most brands offer a 1-3 year product replacement for faults on their products, I had a pair of gloves from pro direct soccer (same company) and they replaced them for me, I had to fill out a replacement form at the time (5 months ago) and they processed it all really quickly
