KIT WATCH 2013
« on: May 06, 2013, 03:46:39 PM »

Our season started this weekend, with a league match on Saturday and a Cup match Sunday.

Saturday one lad in the opposition side (Chipping Norton 1st) used a Funky bat and had a SAF bat in his bag.  Also on show were a few Newburys and a Salix

Sunday the opposition captain (Westbury 2nds) used a Kippax Stallion Signature, went really well. again a few Newbury bats

on display from our two teams were
1 x Onhands
1 x CF prem
5 x Hell4leather 666
1 x Hell4Leather Tempo
1 x CA 15000
and a lot of cheap CA's and Malik's

On Saturday I actually saw somebody in full Salix AJK kit! Toed a six straight and edged one for six over square leg, seemed to be alright. Looked nice!

I played against someone with a vintage dynadrive... used to very good effect as he planted one of my declaration pies into the woods!

Nothing interesting from my club this week. Literally all SS or similar. Still they were used pretty well!

Our slogger had one of these:

http://www.cjicricket.com/CJI-Fatso-Limited-Edition-Cricket-Bats/CJI-Fatso-Limited-Edition-Cricket-Bat/flypage.tpl.html

Hadn't held one before, he said it was 3lb 8oz.

He got 11 off of 6 before being caught on the boundary

One Chase bat was the only thing of real note amongst our opponents this week. New Uzi Green Mamba in our side barely tested other than an inside edge into the stumps!

Well, on the opposition I saw a really fake Newbery Thruxton, a very nice genuine Newbery Thruxton. Also one guy had Powerbow Test pads, Legend 2013 gloves and the bright blue masuri lid. So nice!

Is this for forum kit or just any nice kit we spot?

As mentioned elsewhere, someone had a Blueroom Swell. Didn't expect to be seeing one of those. Did some damage to us with it too
