« on: August 04, 2009, 09:08:21 PM »

Ok this is to show a mate who is considering some newbery bats that they are indeed a decent choice....
Your opinions please...

From what I have seen and used they seem to produce some of the most durable bats. Also unlike other bats which need time to reach peak performance, Newberys seem to ping brilliantly from the start. They seem a bit expensive compared to some other makes but everyone I know (in real life) who has had one, liked it.

i got a series 1 5 star bat, and it seemed to take about 8 hours of knocking in and a further year of playing in before it started to perform well, but now it does now ping nicely. i have seen some very nice newbery bats though....

I had a Mjolnir for a number of years - one of the best bats I've ever owned.

Definitely highly recommend Newbery.  They are not the cheapest, but well worth the money.  I have a Navarone C6+, sounds and feels a little 'hard' but goes like a bullet ... now a little too heavy for me
